Corey Parker announces his retirement from rugby league.

COREY Parker has announced he will hang up the boots at the end of the 2016.

The long-serving Brisbane forward has called time on his career after 16 seasons at the top level.

Fox Sports NRL reporter Lara Pitt has an exclusive interview with the veteran workhorse, which will run on Monday Night with Matty Johns following the round 15 clash between Gold Coast and Manly.

In the interview, Parker reveals the reason behind his decision not to go around again in 2017.

“It is a big decision, it’s not something I’d do lightly,” Parker said this morning.

“But after a lot of thought I’ve decided to hang the boots up and retire.

“I’ve been very fortunate for a long period of time to play the game I love and have that opportunity.”

The Titans v Sea Eagles game will kick off on Fox Sports 501 at 7pm, with preview coverage starting at 6.30pm.

Monday Night with Matty Johns will air immediately after full time.
