Former Arsenal striker, Barcelona and France, Thierry Henry has been named assistant coach of Belgium.
He joined the technical staff led by Roberto Martinez, who replaced Marc Wilmots in early August.
“Thierry is the key figure,” said former Everton manager Martinez.
“He will bring something different. He immediately accepted to be part of us, “he added.
Henry, 39 years, will work together with Graeme Jones, who was with Martinez at Swansea, Wigan and Everton.
Martinez also appointed its first team on Friday.
Wlmotsin replaced the Spaniard, who was sacked from his post as coach of Belgium after losing in the quarterfinal of Wales’ Euro 2016 “with the result 3: 1.
