ALTHOUGH the Giants are short in the betting, they have firmed from $1.11 to $1.06 since Monday to defeat the Blues this afternoon at their home ground in Sydney.

The Blues have been friendless drifting from $7 to $10.

TAB’s Trent Langskaill said 85 per cent of the support had been for the Giants.

The Giants have the incentive knowing a win would place them in the top four and a comfortable one would also help their percentage.

The Giants defeated Sydney two matches ago and then after being challenged by Essendon last week won by 27 points.

The Blues haven’t played since losing to St Kilda by 32 points before having the bye last week.

Carlton is one of the few clubs the Giants have a positive record against as they are three wins to two having won their past three clashes.

The Giants are four from four at Spotless Stadium this season.

The Giants have beaten the Blues by 78 points and 81 points at their last two clashes.

THE MATCH

ST KILDA v GEELONG

Etihad Stadium, Saturday at 7.25pm

SAINTS $5.75 CATS $1.15

Top of the ladder Geelong has been heavily backed to win to cement their spot with a win against St Kilda tonight.

They have been backed from $1.20 when markets opened on June 16 to $1.15 while the Saints have drifted from $4.60 to $5.50 and now $5.75.

The Cats have accounted for 94 per cent of bets on the match.

The Cats haven’t been beaten by the Saints in their past six encounters but last time they met they drew in Round One 2015.

Geelong has won its past three matches after losing to Collingwood and Carlton.

St Kilda has won three of their last four matches including an impressive win before the bye against the Blues.

St Kilda are 4-3 at Etihad Stadium this season with Geelong 2-1.

TOTAL ECLIPSE

$11 is being offered for Hawthorn to score More Points in one quarter than Gold Coast will score for the entire match

For example, Hawthorn scored 43 points in the first quarter v Essendon a fortnight ago while Essendon scored 43 points for the entire match so that would have been a dead heat.

The Hawks are $1.06 to win the match with the Gold Coast at $10.
