It was the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania just over two weeks ago, when Shane McMahon bumped fists with Apollo Crews.

With that, the Georgia native emerged from backstage, making his Raw debut, showing a rare mix of power and agility en route to convincingly defeating Tyler Breeze.

Check out how effortlessly he raised Breeze over his head with a gorilla-press slam. Pretty impressive to say the least.

But just who is this powerhouse with a physique like that of his Greek God namesake, raw power and high-flying moves?

“He was already the proverbial five-tool player when he went from the independent scene to WWE NXT and his astounding record at Full Sail sent the Georgia native to the main WWE roster within a year of his debut,” WWE.com wrote as part of Crews’ bio.

Before ever stepping foot in NXT, though, Crews became known as Uhaa Nation for the Dragon Gate USA promotion in 2011, having even grappled overseas, before landing with WWE last year.

Aside from NXT champ Finn Balor, who Crews just couldn’t seem to figure out in two losses, Apollo dominated the competition pretty thoroughly, more than warranting his jump to the main roster. It was time. He was ready.

And since making the transition, Crews has done nothing but impressed both the company and WWE Universe. Three days after making his Raw debut on April 4, Crews made his SmackDown debut equally memorable, finishing Curtis Axel off with a spinning, sitdown powerbomb after stunning with an array of aerial fireworks.

Back on the following week, Crews kept his hot streak going with a win over Adam Rose.

On Monday, WWE even published this video, showing the brief, but exciting journey of Apollo thus far.

Perhaps he’ll get his biggest test to date Wednesday night, as his short, but thriving career comes full circle as he faces Samoa Joe in NXT action. Using that uncanny strength and agility against a veteran like Joe, who knows all the tricks of the trade in the squared circle, should be interesting to see.

Bright career ahead for Apollo Crews.
