NRL: Nathan Ryan and Lara Pitt deliver the latest edition of Market Watch including contract news on Josh Mansour, the big names Newcastle are targeting, and where Jack Reed could land in 2017.

Gordon will play for the Roosters next season.

PARRAMATTA fullback Michael Gordon will join the Roosters next season on a one-year deal. The former Panther and Sharks has been one of the few rocks for the Eels in a tumultuous season this year but had been linked with a move to Bondi for several weeks.

Gordon is expected to act as a mentor to 18-year old rookie Latrell Mitchell.

“With almost 200 NRL matches under his belt, Michael will add experience and depth to our squad,” said Roosters CEO, John Lee.

“Michael will also be a terrific mentor as we continue to develop our younger backs, and we’re pleased to have secured his services,” he added.

A one-time Origin rep for New South Wales, the 32-year old has played 193 NRL matches since making his debut in 2006, scoring 76 tries and 495 goals for 1294 points.

He is expected to be replaced at fullback for the Eels by Clint Gutherson or Bevan French.
